La Città della Rupe festeggia la Pasqua con tantissimi appuntamenti ed iniziative in tutto il suo territorio: antiche tradizioni tra religione e folklore, ma anche grande musica e spettacolo animeranno i vicoli e le piazze degli splendidi borghi umbri.
Orvieto
Martedì 11 aprile si rinnova l'appuntamento con il tradizionale Concerto di Pasqua: nella suggestiva cornice offerta dalla cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, il Direttore d'orchestra il M° ZUBIN MEHTA, star del concertismo mondiale, dirige una delle orchestre più prestigiose d'Italia, l'Orchestra Sinfonica del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.
La città s'immerge poi nelle celebrazioni Pasquali con la "Via Crucis" del Venerdì Santo che, dalla chiesa di San Giovenale, arriva alla chiesa di Sant'Andrea. La processione religiosa, illuminata da fiaccole, è particolarmente suggestiva.
Baschi (Frazione Civitella del Lago)
Il piccolo borgo medievale, dal 16 aprile al primo maggio, organizza la trentesima edizione della "Mostra Concorso Nazionale Ovo Pinto".
Mostra di pittura ed opere, a tema libero, su uova di specie animale. Tema speciale "Expo in un uovo". Le opere premiate verranno esposte al Museo dell'ovo Pinto, un museo unico al mondo. La pittura delle uova nel periodo pasquale è un'antichissima usanza che risale al periodo dei romani ed ancora usuale in Europa, soprattutto nell' Italia centrale.
L'evento si svolge a Civitella del Lago, un borgo medievale sulla sommità di una collina, con un bellissimo panorama sul Lago di Corbara e la media valle del Tevere.
Dal 2015 alcune opere sono esposte nelle finestre delle case, trasformando il paese in un borgo museo.

Sacra Rappresentazione della "Passione Morte e Resurrezione di nostro Signore Gesu" - 21 edizione
Rappresentazione teatrale itinerante, con 12 quadri in movimento, che rievocano gli ultimi giorni inerenti alla Passione, Morte e Resurrezione di Gesù Cristo. I 105 attori dello staff artistico articolano lo spettaclo tra il suggestivo portico antistante il santuario ed il bosco sottostante; nella grotta dove dimorò S. Francesco d'Assisi viene rappresentata la scena della Resurrezione.

"Rievocazione storica della Passione e Morte di Gesù" Nella suggestiva cornice del borgo illuminato da sole fiaccole ed addobbato per l'occasione, sfila un corteo in costume di circa 150 figuranti che mettono in scena, con luci e musica, i quadri viventi rappresentativi della Passione e Morte di Gesù Cristo. Le scene, sottolineate da adeguata colonne sonora, sono illustrate da alcuni speaker.

The Cliff's Town is celebrating Easter with several appointments and initiatives throughout its area: ancient traditions between religion and folkore, but also big music and performance will animate the alleys and squares of fascinating Umbrian villages.
Orvieto
The appointment with the traditional Easter concert is taking place on Tuesday 11th April: in the inspiring frame offered by the St. Mary Assunta's Cathedral, the Orchestra Conductor M° ZUBIN MEHTA, world concert star, is going to direct one of the Italian most prestigious orchestras, the Orchestra Chamber Musicians of Florence's Musical May.
The town is then going to immerse itself in the Easter's celebrations with the Stations of the Cross of Holy Friday that, from the Church of St. Juvenal, is reaching St. Andrew's Church. The religious procession, lit by torches, is particularly inspiring.
Baschi (Civitella del Lago's Hamlet)
The small medieval village, from the 16th April to the 1st May, is going to organize the 30th edition of the "Painted Egg's National Contest Exhibition".
It's an exhibition of painting and free-subject artworks on eggs of animal origin. Special theme is "Expo in an egg". the awarded eggs will be exhibited in the Painted Egg's Museum, a unique museum in the world. Painting of eggs in Easter's time is an ancient habit going back to the Roman time and still usual in Europe, especially in the central Italy.
The event is taking place in Civitella del Lago, a medieval village on the top of a hill, with a wonderful view over Corbara's Lake and the medium Tevere's valley.
Some artworks have been displayed on the houses' windows since 2015, turning the village in a village museum.

"Historical reenactment of Passion and Death". A parade in costume of about 150 figures is going to parade in the inspiring frame of the village lit just by flames and decorated for the occasion. It will perform, with the help of lights and music, the living pictures representing Jesus Christ's Passion and Death. Scenes, highlighted by a proper musical background, will be illustrated by some speakers.
