Dal 9 aprile al 18 giugno il Museo della Pesca e del lago Trasimeno ospita le fotografie di Alvaro Masseini, frutto di molte uscite in barca con i pescatori durante il loro lavoro.
Il fotografo fa rivivere la tradizione secolare della pesca professionale, riprendendo i momenti salienti di quest'antico mestiere, nelle diverse stagioni e con le differenti attrezzature.
I pescatori, forse per la prima volta, hanno un volto e sono colti nelle azioni concrete della loro attività, con i gesti e gli strumenti che l'esperienza ha loro consegnato.
La vita all'aria aperta, l'assenza di un padrone che del lavoro ne determini i tempi e i ritmi, ripaga – anche quando il lago si dimostra avaro – dei molti sacrifici.
Alvaro Masseini con questa mostra ha voluto rendere omaggio ai protagonisti di un mestiere e di una tradizione che, pur nei travagli del presente, resiste caparbiamente alle sirene effimere della modernità.

From the 9th April to the 18th June the Museum of Fishing and of the Trasimeno Lake is going to host the pictures by Alvaro Masseini, result of several boat trips with fishers during their job.
The photographer will bring back to life the centuries-old tradition of the professional fishery, by capturing the key moments of this ancient trade, in the different seasons and with the most diverse equipments.
Fishers, maybe for the first time, have a face and are caught up in the concrete actions of their activity, with gestures and tools that the experience gave them.
The open-air life, the absence of a master who decides times and rhythms of their job, pays off the several sacrifices - even when the lake proves miser.
Alvaro Masseini with this exhibition wanted to pay tribute to the protagonists of a trade and a tradition that, even in the torments of the present time, resists stubbornly to the ephemeral sirens of modernity.
