Dal 19 al 28 luglio lo splendido borgo di Solomeo, immerso nelle verdi colline umbre a pochi passi da Perugia, torna indietro nel tempo.
Le mura del castello illuminate da centinaia di fiaccole fanno da cornice a una delle manifestazioni più caratteristiche del panorama regionale.
Nata nel 1979, Solomeo Rinascimentale è una manifestazione particolarmente suggestiva che riporta l’acropoli indietro nel tempo. Alla luce delle fiaccole e accompagnati per le vie del borgo dagli stornelli dei cantori e dei menestrelli, i visitatori sono invitati a rivivere antichi giochi rappresentati da giullari, spettacoli di falconeria, saltimbanco e artisti di strada, ammirare abili artigiani realizzare manufatti tradizionali e degustare piatti tipici della cucina umbra, serviti con dovizia, virtù e cura dei particolari da osti e locandiere.

From July 19th to July 28th the wonderful village of Solomeo, surrounded by green Umbrian hills close to Perugia, is going back in time.
The walls of the castle, illuminated by hundreds torches, are the frame to one of the most typical event of Umbria.
Born in 1979, Solomeo Renaissance is a very peculiar manifestation which bring the acropolis back in time. Thanks to torches light and accompanied by cantors and minstrels folk songs through the streets of the village, visitors are invited to relive old games represented by jesters, falconry shows, tumbler and street artists. They’re also invited to see skilled artisans making traditional artifacts and to taste typical Umbrian food, served with wealth, virtue and care of the details by owners and innkeeper.
