October is the best time to experience the town of Trevi: with the arrival of autumn, every year, re-enactments, medieval challenges, ancient flavors, historical performances, markets of other times, concerts and exhibitions invade the historic center of the city.

After the opening ceremony of the October celebrations (the Convivio), Trevi is going to plunge into an inspiring and exciting setting which gives way to the ��Medieval Rites��.

On the Palio��s Eve, a parade of about 500 people in costumes dating back to 1200-1350 is going to cross the town��s streets lit by torches and decorated with flags and banners, in a unique atmosphere with an ancient flavour.

The challenge among the three Districts of the town remains the heart of the event and re-enacts the Rebirth of the Town after its destruction in 1214, caused by Spoleto at the wish of the Duke Theopold, as reported in the Ecclesiastical Annals. Each District has twenty young competing ��Riders�� who alternate in different relays in the difficult and thrilling race, during which one pulls and the others push with all their strength a cart weighing 430 kg.

Additionally a beautiful old local market (Scenes of medieval life), with the participation of many citizens of Trevi and surroundings, offers ancient crafts in period costumes in the most scattered streets of the city, the seasonal excellencies of the area, including the famous Black Celery and Extra Virgin Olive Oil, to be tasted in taverns in the heart of the old town, not to mention the \"Challenge of sounds\" and the \"Archery Tournament\".

Ottobre �� il periodo migliore per vivere la cittadina di Trevi: con l'arrivo dell'autunno, ogni anno, rievocazioni, sfide medievali, antichi sapori, rappresentazioni storiche, mercati d'altri tempi, concerti e mostre invadono il centro storico della citt��.

Dopo la cerimonia di apertura dei festeggiamenti ottobrini (il Convivio), Trevi s'immerge in una suggestiva ed emozionante cornice che d�� il via ai \"Riti Medievali\".

Alla vigilia del Palio, un corteo di oltre 500 figuranti in costumi risalenti al 1200-1350 attraversa le vie cittadine illuminate da torce e addobbate di bandiere, stendardi e gonfaloni, in un'atmosfera unica dal sapore antico.

Cuore della manifestazione resta la sfida tra i Terzieri che rievoca la Rinascita della Citt�� dopo la distruzione del 1214, causata dagli spoletini per volont�� del Duca Theopoldo, come riportato negli Annali Ecclesiastici. Per ogni Terziere gareggiano venti giovani \"Portacolori\", che si alternano in pi�� staffette nell'ardua e avvincente corsa, durante la quale uno traina e gli altri spingono con tutte le forze un carro del peso di 430 Kg.

E ancora: un bellissimo antico mercato rionale (Scene di vita medievali), con la partecipazione di tantissimi cittadini di Trevi e dintorni, ripropone antichi mestieri in costumi d'epoca nelle vie pi�� disperse della citt��, le eccellenze stagionali del territorio, tra cui il famoso Sedano Nero e l'Olio Extravergine d'Oliva, da assaggiare nelle taverne nel cuore del centro storico, senza dimenticare la \"Sfida dei suoni\" e il \"Torneo Arcieristico\".
