Ihr Ursprung reicht weit in die Geschichte zur��ck: bereits im 16.</p>Jahrhundert war im Statut der Stadt Cannara folgendes zu lesen: ���Unter Gem��segarten versteht man den, wo alle m��glichen Gem��sesorten, au��er Knoblauch, Zwiebeln [und] Anis angebaut werden\", womit gemeint war, dass der Anbau von Zwiebeln, Knoblauch und Anis auf gr����eren Anbaufl��chen vorgesehen war. <p></p> <p>Noch heute werden die Anbautechniken der Zwiebel von einer Generation zur n��chsten ��berliefert. Die Authentizit��t des Erzeugnisses h��ngt au��erdem von der Erde ab, die in dieser Gegend sehr reich an Lehm, Wasser und Kalium ist.</p> <p>Das Zwiebelfest von Cannara findet zur Erntezeit statt und zelebriert geradezu diese landwirtschaftliche Spezialit��t: vom 30. August bis 3. September und vom 5. bis 10.
