It is an exhibition dedicated to the promotion of DOP Umbria extra virgin olive oil and tourism in the countryside during the oil-pressing period.

Five consecutive weekends during which good living enthusiasts and food lovers will participate in tastings and guided tours of the Umbria oil mills in the midst of their activity.

A moment to celebrate the arrival of the new extra virgin olive oil, together with other excellent food and wine of the Green Heart of Italy, at the same time, visiting and admiring the many small medieval villages often outside the usual tourist routes.
The mills of the cities participating in the initiative will be at the center of the event. It will be possible to discover many quality food products, including freshly pressed olive oil, of course.
The visit to the olive oil mills will allow us to witness the pressing of the olives. Through tastings accompanied by bread and wine, it will be possibile to appreciate the characteristics of the new olive-oil, participating in the many organized initiatives.
Frantoi Aperti means also the opening of special places. During the entire event, you can enjoy thematic itineraries linked to ancient olive trees, medieval castles, Romanesque churches and abbeys.
There will be live music, cooking shows, cooking workshops, trekking among the olive trees, horseback riding, truffle hunting, fun activities and entertainment for the little ones.

Intenditori del buon vivere e del buon mangiare per sette fine settimana consecutivi potranno partecipare a degustazioni e visite guidate nei frantoi dell��Umbria nel pieno della loro attivit��, per celebrare l��arrivo del nuovo olio extravergine di oliva, insieme alle altre eccellenze enogastronomiche del Cuore Verde d��Italia, e nel contempo visitare e ammirare i tanti piccoli borghi medievali spesso fuori delle consuete rotte turistiche.

Al centro della manifestazione ci saranno i frantoi delle citt�� aderenti all��iniziativa, dove sar�� possibile scoprire tanti prodotti agroalimentari di qualit��, tra cui ovviamente l��olio appena franto.
La visita ai frantoi permetter�� di assistere alla spremitura delle olive, apprezzando, con le degustazioni accompagnate da pane bruscato e vino, le caratteristiche dell��olio nuovo e partecipando alle tante iniziative organizzate.
Frantoi Aperti �� anche sinonimo di apertura di luoghi speciali: durante l��intera manifestazione si propongono percorsi tematici legati agli ulivi millenari, ai castelli medievali, alle chiesette romaniche e alle abbazie.
Non mancheranno musica dal vivo, cooking show, laboratori di cucina, trekking tra gli ulivi, passeggiate a cavallo, caccia al tartufo, attivit�� ludiche e di intrattenimento per i pi�� piccoli.
