La competizione ospita auto moderne e storiche e le titolazioni tricolori la rendono una delle corse in salita più ambite.
L'edizione 2018 è prova del Campionato Italiano Velocità Montagna (CIVM) e presenta anche la doppia validità per il Trofeo Italiano Velocità Montagna (TIVM) Nord e Sud, oltre che per il Campionato Italiano Le Bicilindriche e altri trofei, fra i quali lo speciale trofeo promosso in collaborazione con il CIP dell'Umbria che, all'insegna dell'impegno sociale, premierà i piloti diversamente abili.
Grandi sfide attendono i piloti provenienti da tutta Italia in lotta per i titoli tricolori nelle categorie “produzione” delle auto Turismo/rally e GT (rappresentanti di marchi del calibro di Aston Martin, Bmw, Ferrari, Lamborghini e Porsche) e in quelle “da competizione” delle vetture Silhouette, Prototipi e Formula.
Il Trofeo Fagioli, riconosciuto da molti come “Montecarlo delle salite”, si disputa lungo il percorso di 4150 metri che dal caratteristico centro storico di Gubbio sale a Madonna della Cima attraverso la Gola del Bottaccione, sito naturalistico e geologico di rilevanza mondiale.

Now in its 53rd edition, the Luigi Fagioli Trophy is an uphill speed car race that, from 17th to 19th August, offers a weekend of sport, nature and entertainment.
The competition hosts modern and historic cars and the Italian titles make it one of the most sought-after uphill races.
The 2018 edition is a test of the Italian Hill-Climb Championship (CIVM) and also has double validity for the Italian Mountain Speed Trophy (TIVM) North and South, as well as for the Italian Twin-cylinder Championship and other trophies, including the special trophy promoted in collaboration with the Umbria CIP that, in the name of social commitment, will reward pilots with disabilities.
Great challenges await the drivers coming from all over Italy fighting for the Italian titles in the "production" categories of Tourism/rally and GT cars (representatives of brands such as Aston Martin, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche) and in the "competition" categories of Silhouette, Prototypes and Formula cars.
The Fagioli Trophy, recognized by many as "Montecarlo of the climbs", is disputed along the route of 4150 meters that from the characteristic old town of Gubbio goes up to Madonna della Cima through the Gorge of Bottaccione, a world-class natural and geological site.
