Il Lago di Corbara è un bacino artificiale, realizzato con lo sbarramento del fiume Tevere nei pressi dell'abitato di Corbara (TR).

Il Lago di Corbara è un bacino artificiale, realizzato con lo sbarramento del fiume Tevere nei pressi dell'abitato di Corbara (TR).
La diga che sbarra il Tevere a circa 3 km dalla confluenza con il fiume Paglia, determina l'accumulo di 207 milioni di mc nell'invaso del Lago di Corbara, che raggiunge la profondità massima di 51 m e si estende su una superficie di circa 10,5 km 2.
Il lago occupa una splendida valle che si apre a partire dalle gole del Forello.
Il Lago di Corbara fa parte dell'area protetta Parco Fluviale del Tevere, dove si possono avvistare bellissimi esemplari di aironi, e altre specie di piccoli uccelli anche rari che trovano riparo nella rigogliosa vegetazione del Parco fluviale. Per la fauna si segnala la presenza di daini e mufloni.
Nel settore meridionale sono presenti piantagioni di ulivi e vigneti di grande interesse.
La parte più a monte è ricca di boschi ad alto fusto, la flora conta un numero importante di specie pregiate.
Per chi ama la natura è possibile passeggiare lungo le sponde del lago, visitare le Gole del Forello, le insenature carsiche scavate dal Tevere e le splendide grotte che si aprono sui fianchi del lago nelle quali è possibile effettuale visite speleologiche, tra queste la Grotta Bella e le Grotte della Piana. Il lago di Corbara, oltre ad avere un grande interesse paesaggistico, è ritenuto dai pescatori sportivi uno dei laghi del centro Italia più interessanti in particolare per la pesca alla carpa.

The dam blocking the Tiber at about 3 km from the confluence with the Paglia river, determines the accumulation of 207 million cubic meters in the reservoir of Lake Corbara, which reaches a maximum depth of 51 m covering an area of about 10, 5 km. The lake is in a beautiful valley that opens from the Forello gorges.
Corbara Lake is part of the protected area of the Tiber River Park, where you can spot beautiful specimens of herons and other species of small and rare birds rare to find shelter in the lush vegetation in the park river. Deer and mouflon are among the mammal species found there. In the southern sector there are olive groves and vineyards of great interest.
The most upstream part is full of tall forests, the flora has a large number of precoius species.
For lovers of nature you can stroll along the banks of the lake, visit the Forello Gorge, karst bays carved by the Tiber and the beautiful caves which open on the sides of the lake where you can go caving, such as the Grotta Bella and the Cave of the Plain. Corbara Lake, besides its great beauty, is considered by anglers one of the most attractive lakes of central Italy particularly for carp fishing.

Der Damm, der den Tiber circa 3 km vom Zulauf mit dem Fluss Paglia staut, bestimmt das Anhäufen von 207 Millionen von Kubikmetern im Stauraum des Corbara Sees, der die maximale Tiefe von 51 m erreicht und sich auf einer Fläche von circa 10,5 km2 ausdehnt.
Der See nimmt ein fantastisches Tal ein, das sich bei den Schluchten von Forello öffnet.
Der Corbara See stellt einen Teil des geschützten Fluss-Parks des Tibers dar, wo wunderschöne Exemplare von Reihern und andere Arten kleiner, auch seltener Vögel beobachtet werden können, welche in der üppigen Vegetation des Fluss Parks Schutz finden. Im Hinblick auf die Fauna wird auf Damhirsche und Mufflons hingewiesen.
Im südlichen Bereich liegen Olivenhaine und Weingärten von großem Interesse.
Der eher bergige Teil ist reich an Hochwäldern, die Flora weist eine Vielzahl an wichtigen und wertvollen Arten auf.
Für all jene, welche die Natur lieben, ist es möglich, ausgedehnte Spaziergänge entlang des Seeufers zu unternehmen, die Schluchten des Forello, die Karstauswaschungen vom Tiber und die fantastischen Grotten aufzusuchen, die sich an den Seiten des Sees öffnen und in denen höhlenkundliche Führungen möglich sind. Darunter befinden sich die Grotta Bella und die Grotte delle Piana. Der Corbara See, wird zusätzlich zu seinem landschaftlichen Interesse von den Sportfischern als einer der bedeutendstenSeen Mittelitaliens, insbesondere für den Karpfenfang betrachtet.
