Anche quest'anno torna a Perugia il consueto appuntamento con l'informazione promosso dal Festival Internazionale del Giornalismo. La dodicesima edizione si aprirà l’11 aprile, per cinque giorni densi di attività, fino al 15.
Il programma della rassegna prevede centinaia di eventi e moltissimi ospiti: incontri e dibattiti che riempiranno le giornate della rassegna, ormai diventata il Media Event più importante d'Europa.
La manifestazione, nata nel 2006 dalla volontà dei suoi fondatori, Arianna Ciccone e Christopher Potter, di parlare di giornalismo, informazione e libertà di stampa oltre le modalità tradizionali, ha la sua più grande forza nella novità del modello che ne costituisce la base. Ispirato dalle idee e dalle proposte di tutti i partecipanti, siano essi professionisti, lettori o studenti, dà forma al flusso di riflessioni che da questo scambio si genera: una formula che rende quanto più vivace questo incontro volontario di opinioni e culture internazionali.
Il Festival occupa gli spazi del centro storico di Perugia, i teatri, gli auditorium e le sale per i convegni, ma anche le strade della città, che nei cinque giorni della manifestazione vivono e respirano lo stesso spirito e la spinta culturale che muovono l'evento e motivano a partecipare.
Il pubblico e gli speaker in arrivo da tutto il mondo affronteranno tematiche legate sia alla riflessione giornalistica, sia all'attualità.
Tra gli argomenti che saranno trattati in questa edizione, temi di attualità e riflessioni sui cambiamenti del mondo del giornalismo: molestie sessuali, disinformazione, cambiamento climatico, cyber guerra e propaganda, intelligenza artificiale, alt-right e populismo, crisi umanitaria, giornalismo investigativo, reddito di base, fiducia nei media, migrazioni, fact-checking e debunking, gestione del trauma, data journalism, engagement, start-up, alfabetizzazione alle notizie, giornalismo locale, diversità e inclusione, servizio pubblico, business model, libertà di espressione, filantropia nei media, e tanto altro ancora.

The usual appointment with the information promoted by the International Journalism Festival is returning this year in Perugia with five days full of activities. The 12th edition will open on 11th April and will last until the 15th.
The programme of the festival includes hundreds of events and countless guests: meetings and debates will fill the days of the event which already became the most important European Media Event.
The event, born in 2006 from the desire of its founders, Arianna Ciccone and Christopher Potter, to talk about journalism, information and press freedom beyond the traditional methods, has its main strength in its new model that represents its foundation. Inspired by the ideas and proposals of all participants, whether professionals, readers or students, it gives shape to the stream of reflections generated by this exchange.
Its resulting formula stimulates this voluntary meeting among international opinions and cultures.The Festival is going to take place in the Perugia historical centre, as well as in the theatres, auditoriums and conference rooms, but also along the town’s streets that, during the five days of the event, are going to live and breathe the same spirit and cultural boost that lead the event and motivate to participate.
The public and speakers coming from all over the world are going to deal with topics linked to both the journalistic thinking and to the current events.
The topics that will be dealt with in this edition are going to be current themes and reflections about the changes experienced by journalism: sexual harassment, misinformation, climate change, cyberwar and propaganda, artificial intelligence, alt-right and populism, humanitarian crisis, investigative journalism, basic income, trust in the media, migrations, fact-checking and debunking, trauma management, data journalism, engagement, start-up, news literacy, local journalism, diversity, inclusion, public service, business model, freedom of expression, philanthropy in the media and much more.
