Dal 23 novembre al 6 gennaio Gubbio si trasforma nella città del Natale. Mercatini, concerti, animazioni per i più piccoli, il Presepe nel quartiere medievale di San Martino e l’accensione del magnifico Albero di Natale, il più grande al mondo, che dal 7 dicembre illumina la Città del Ceri per tutto il periodo delle feste.

Il Natale a Gubbio è un’esperienza unica tutta da vivere: incredibili attrazioni, eventi e spettacoli la trasformano in un vero e proprio villaggio delle meraviglie dove grandi e piccini possono gioire delle meraviglie del periodo più magico dell’anno!
A partire dal famosissimo Albero di Natale, entrato nel Guinness dei Primati come il più grande del mondo, che dal 1981 viene realizzato sulle pendici del Monte Ingino, alle spalle della città.

È composto da più di 700 corpi luminosi di vario tipo e colore, è alto oltre 750 metri e occupa un’area di 130 mila metri quadrati, nasconde le sue radici nelle mura della città medioevale e arriva con la sua grande stella fino alla basilica del Patrono, Sant’Ubaldo, posta in cima alla montagna. Per realizzare l’albero sono necessarie 1.300 ore di lavoro. L’ Albero di Natale di Gubbio come da tradizione viene acceso ogni anno il 7 dicembre nella vigilia del giorno dell’Immacolata. L'orario di accensione è dal tramonto fino a tarda notte per tutto il periodo delle feste natalizie.
Sotto l’Albero troverete tantissime attrazioni per vivere la magia del Natale, dal laghetto ghiacciato alla ruota panoramica, e nella suggestiva location dei giardini di piazza Quaranta Martiri, tra mille luci e colori, gli stand di legno del Mercatino di Natale vi regaleranno un’atmosfera suggestiva, dove passeggiare tra ricercati oggetti artigianali, decorazioni natalizie e deliziose specialità culinarie. Let’s start with the famous Christmas Tree, entered in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest in the world.

It has been realised on the slopes of Mount Ingino, behind the city, since 1981. It is composed of more than 700 luminous bodies of various types and colors, being over 750 meters high and occupying an area of 130 thousand square meters. It hides its roots in the walls of the medieval city and its big star arrives up to the basilica of the Patron Saint, Sant'Ubaldo, placed on top of the mountain. 1,300 hours of work are needed to make the tree.
The Christmas Tree of Gubbio is lit every year on December 7th, according to tradition, on the eve of the day of the Immaculate Conception. The switch-on time of the tree is from sunset until late at night, for the entire period of the Christmas holidays.
Under the tree you will find many attractions to experience the magic of Christmas such as the frozen lake, the ferris wheel and among thousands of lights and colors, in the evocative location of the gardens of Piazza Quaranta Martiri, the wooden stands of the Christmas Market will offer you a very evocative atmosphere.
