March of Peace and Fraternity between Perugia and Assisi

Un'esperienza intensa che coinvolge ogni anno migliaia di persone e che anche nel 2018 vedrà la partecipazione di moltissimi enti locali provenienti da ogni angolo d'Italia: è la Marcia #PerugiAssisi della Pace e della Fraternità.
Nata nel 1961, lo spirito e le motivazioni che ne sono alla base sono rimasti invariati, anche se nel corso del tempo il concetto stesso di Pace è andato a modificarsi, arricchendosi: Pace è anche Diritti, Solidarietà, Lotta alla miseria, al terrorismo e alla violenza in ogni sua forma.
È possibile partecipare o percorrendola per intero (da Perugia ad Assisi, circa 24 chilometri) o solo un tratto (partendo da Ponte San Giovanni, Collestrada, Ospedalicchio o Bastia) oppure attendere l'arrivo della Marcia a Santa Maria degli Angeli, in Piazza San Francesco o alla Rocca di Assisi e unirsi alla manifestazione conclusiva.
L'appuntamento è per domenica 7 ottobre, mentre il 5 e 6 ottobre, si svolgerà a Perugia un Meeting della pace e dei diritti umani. Al centro dell'incontro ci saranno 3000 giovani impegnati in percorsi di educazione alla cittadinanza glocale, alla pace e ai diritti umani, alla legalità, al dialogo e allo sviluppo sostenibile.

Born in 1961, its underlying spirit and motivations have remained unchanged, even if over time the very concept of Peace has changed, enriching itself: Peace also means Rights, Solidarity, Fight against Poverty, Terrorism and Violence in all its forms.
It is possible to participate either by covering the entire route (from Perugia to Assisi, about 24 km) or only a stretch (starting from Ponte San Giovanni, Collestrada, Ospedalicchio or Bastia) or waiting for the arrival of the March in Santa Maria degli Angeli, in Piazza San Francesco or at the Assisi Fortress for then joining the final demonstration.
The appointment is on Sunday 7th October, whereas on 5th and 6th October there will be a Meeting of peace and human rights in Perugia. At the centre of the meeting there will be 3000 young people engaged in education itineraries to global citizenship, peace and human rights, the rule of law, dialogue and sustainable development.
